Glassworks just received a shipment of handmade glass from Blenko, based in West Virginia. The classic 384 water Bottle design was first introduced in 1938 and has been produced at their factory, by hand, almost non-stop since that very first year. The water bottle’s narrow shape with two pouring spouts and center indentation make for easy handling. Today, this piece of glassblowing history is commonly used as:
A glass pitcher - to serve drinks or enjoy a cool glass of water.
A lovely flower vase - for a dazzling display of colors.
A decorative piece - to elevate the character of any room.
Blenko small vases are available in a range of crisp, clean geometric shapes and many solid line colors. The ‘Block’ bud vase, spherical form (the ‘Ball’ vase), and cylindrical form (the ‘Barrel’) are the available shapes Each piece has the same footprint – a 3.75” base and stands approximately 5.5" tall with a short neck, perfect for single buds or small posies – and is designed to be mixed and matched, both in form and color.
